Job description

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Claims Intake Coordinator position located in Ontario, CA 91764 zip code.

Pay: $20.00/HR

Shift:  Monday – Friday (8am-4:30pm till fully trained)

Optional Shift After Training 8am – 4:30pm or 7am – 3:30pm or 7:30am – 4pm

Length:  6+ months

**To assure claims are sorted by markets, priority, scannable, health plan responsibility.

**To assure claims are put through the appointed areas for scanning and expedite imaging for processing.

Job Duties:

·       Distribute mail according to markets, scan, priority, appeals and Health Plan Risk.

·       Open, Sort, Prioritize, Batch, Log and track all received claims.

·       Ensure all incoming claims are suitable for processing.

·       Forward all un-cleaned claims to provider

·       Forward Out of States claims to the Health Plan

·       Run Claims Fallout process and the distribute Fallout Worksheets to the appropriate departments via email.

·       Assist with distribution of checks. (match checks with EOB, fold, place in appropriate envelope)

·       Mon-Fri match Checks with Remittance Advise fold & insert into the appropriate sized envelope.

·       Reconcile processed batches within the audit database.

·       Create Denial trailers and mail out letters.

Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

·       6 months to 1 year experience in medical office or claims environment

·       Familiar with CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim forms

·       Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Example: Familiarity with spreadsheet applications such as Excel and/or Access.

·       Computer knowledge: Basic Excel, Word, Outlook, Alpha Numeric Entry, 35-40 wpm.

·       Claims environment required

·       Ability to work with and tolerate constant changes to processes
