This role is onsite in Irving, TX.
Our Global 500 client is seeking an experienced and certified Scrum Master to join their dynamic team. As a Scrum Master Mid, you will play a pivotal role in fostering Agile practices and facilitating seamless collaboration between product management and development teams. You will be responsible for orchestrating Agile ceremonies, ensuring team focus, and removing impediments to enhance productivity. REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities :
- Plan and lead all Agile ceremonies including daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings. Ensure these ceremonies are conducted effectively and contribute to team alignment and continuous improvement.
- Keep the team organized and focused on project goals and priorities. Serve as a bridge between product management and development, facilitating clear communication and understanding between both parties.
- Actively facilitate in identifying and clearing blockers for the team to ensure smooth progress of sprint goals and objectives.
- Ensure all Jira tickets are updated timely, accurately reflecting the current state of tasks and user stories.
- Coordinate with Product Owners to define and prioritize user stories, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Work with the team to ensure that all tasks are estimated, prioritized, and tracked effectively, utilizing tools such as ServiceNow.
- Coach the team in Agile principles and Scrum framework, ensuring that team members understand their roles and responsibilities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Identify and remove any obstacles or impediments that hinder the team's progress towards its goals. Act as a servant leader, supporting the team in overcoming challenges.
- Monitor team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback to the team. Facilitate continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and implementation of improvements.
- Communicate progress, status, and risks to stakeholders, keeping them informed of the team's progress and any potential impacts on project timelines or deliverables.
- Perform any other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile development environment.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM and its capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and manage conflicts effectively.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (preferred)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification (preferred)

- Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
- Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
- Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
- Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
- Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
- Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role.
- Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
- Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives.
