We're on the search for an Underwriting Administrative Assistant who thrives in a supportive role, to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
About the Role
As an Underwriting Administrative Assistant, you play a pivotal role in our team's success. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
Creating, reviewing, and maintaining vital underwriting reports that support our decision-making process.
Efficiently handling communication, such as emails and calls from agents, agency owners, other team members, and our valued vendors, offering guidance on underwriting guidelines, procedures, and updates on cases.
Acting as the liaison for underwriting referrals to our Medical Director, ensuring a smooth and efficient review process.
Managing underwriting correspondence and reporting, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed.
Overseeing underwriting reporting to third-party vendors and manually ordering requirements for non-automated processes.
Monitoring for trends, issues, or potential fraud, keeping our operations secure and trustworthy.
Leading or contributing to projects, completing them within set timeframes.
Conducting complaint research, follow-up, and resolution to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
Who You Are
To excel in this role, you'll need:
Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) with an ability to build rapport quickly.
Probing and analytical skills to understand and address concerns or objections, ensuring a high level of customer service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn new systems effortlessly.
A commitment to teamwork and organizational goals, demonstrating a desire to support your team members.
A customer service focus, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Professionalism in handling and resolving escalated issues.
Requirements
1-2 years of relevant office experience (preferred).
Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
Solid analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Familiarity with basic medical terminology is helpful.
