Cross Company, a leading industrial solutions provider, is looking to add a creative and experienced social media coordinator to its marketing team. Our marketing team works with all five of our business units to create engaging, informative content for a diverse industrial customer base. Our B2B social media coordinator position turns that content into posts which reflect the technical expertise, world-class customer service, and unique company culture that is Cross. We also actively engage with our vendors and our customers online to build communities, share technical insight, and enjoy the lighter side of the industrial world.
To join our team, you’ll have a proven portfolio of online engagement. You’ll be very knowledgeable in all social media platforms, including when to use what platform for a particular message or campaign. You’ll be creative and self-sufficient, thinking up new content or ways to use existing content to engage and delight our followers as well as attract new ones. You’ll also be able to honestly analyze and improve upon the work you’ve done in order to keep Cross’s social media at the forefront of industrial B2B marketing. All while being able to display collected data displaying social campaign success.

Essential functions:
- Develop and execute social media promotion and engagement strategies to increase brand awareness, promote our products & services, and highlight the unique company culture of Cross.
- Create original, engaging, and compelling content for a variety of social media platforms such as LinkedIn or Instagram. This includes writing copy, designing graphics, and editing videos while ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.
- Monitor and analyze social media data to identify trends and improve campaign performance.
- Engage with social followers, vendor/business partners, and existing customers online while responding to comments and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Cross Company sales teams to ensure consistency and alignment with overall goals and objectives.
- Identify target industries, businesses, or customers for social media marketing efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in professional social media marketing.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Able to provide skilled back-up videography and photography as needed
- Be an active marketing team associate, able to jump in and help with anything that needs to be done
- Be proactive in proposing and executing new and established marketing tactics which will increase the number of marketing-generated leads
Education and expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Relevant years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- At least two years professional experience in social media marketing
- Strong knowledge of features, best practices, and comparative strengths and disadvantages of major social media channels. Current knowledge of social media trends, techniques and technologies. Ability to analyze performance data and draw actionable insights from it.
- Strong online content portfolio required. Demonstrated writing, editing, graphic design skills. Ability to write compelling copy and create engaging social media posts and articles.
- Proficiency in a range of content creation and graphic design tools (examples could include Canva, WeVideo, Premiere Rush, After Effects, Illustrator, etc.)
- Experience with at least one major social media management platform (Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer, etc.)

Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to sit or stand for periods of an hour or more
- Must have the dexterity to effectively utilize a computer.
