Statement of Purpose: 

This Manager role supervises and coordinates the activities of the outpatient physical and speech therapy programs at the Milford satellite of the Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine program to facilitate rehabilitation of disabled patients and ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of this location.  The Milford location is one of three offsite Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine locations and works collaboratively with the managers of these locations as well as the Outpatient Occupational Therapy Supervisor. This role establishes policies, procedures, standards, and sets objectives for the treatment of patients and for the department .  Also oversees the building and associated services, communicating with appropriate parties to ensure smooth operations.

This role oversees 37 direct reports, including physical therapy and speech therapy clinicians, Rehab/Front Desk Coordinators and Clinical Aides.  Our staff has significant years of experience and their level of commitment to the organization is one of the biggest contributors to the success of the department. The manager is responsible for mentoring staff, evaluating their performance, and promoting professional growth throughout all Physical and Speech Therapy disciplines.

The Rehab department is recognized by the interdisciplinary clinical team at Milford Regional Medical Center and plays an active role in various interdisciplinary committees. The manager also maintains the departmental Performance Improvement program and initiates process improvements both within the department, as well as, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy program

Certification/License: MA PT, OT or Speech License, Current CPR skills
