Founded in SoCal, we are a general contracting firm that is looking for a Superintendent to join our team. We are ideally looking for someone who has at least 10 years of commercial tenant improvement experience. If you have commercial, inspections, crew management, scheduling and budgeting experience, we want to talk to you!

What You Will Be Doing

- Conduct safety discussions before work starts and post necessary notices in accordance with State and CAL-OSHA regulations.
- Prior to the start of the work, record the current building conditions, paying particular attention to any damage already present.
- Inform clients and building managers of the scheduling and access requirements.
- To coordinate layout with subcontractors, interpret designs and specifications.
- The work of client vendors and subcontractors is scheduled and coordinated.
- Coordination of work involving landlord vendors and the base building systems should be done in conjunction with landlord representatives, especially operational engineers.
- To get layout and mock-up approvals, collaborate with the project's designers and engineers.
- Maintain order and organization on the jobsite by coordinating material deliveries.
- As required by our Standard Operating Procedures and policies, the State of California, and CAL-OSHA rules, make sure that personal protective equipment, tools, and power are used properly.
- Maintain emergency evacuation plans, first aid kits that are adequately stocked, and measures for preventing injuries and illnesses on the property.
- Keep thorough daily logs for all on-site project activities, including all current staffing, schedule requirements, phone calls, inspections, approvals, visitors, deliveries, change requests, delays, and accidents or near-misses.
- To best coordinate staff efforts, keep Project Managers and support personnel informed of any current project requirements and schedule updates.
- Control revisions and additional work requests from subcontractors, engage with project managers to get prior approval, and as necessary, keep track of time and material costs.
- Assistant Superintendents and Laborers are included in the non-exempt field staff who must be scheduled and have their time tracked as needed.
-Check the work of subcontractors frequently to make sure it adheres to specifications and is of a high standard.
- Control site inspections in cooperation with the City, Public Works, Health Department, and other Authorities Having the jurisdiction necessary to complete the project in accordance with the applicable codes.
- Make that all subcontractor papers, such as project bulletins, authorized shop drawings, and material submittals needed to start work, are accurate on the job site.
- To coordinate the work, hold weekly on-site foremen's meetings with all the current subcontractors.
- Attend weekly client meetings to make sure that project status and pertinent requests are communicated.
- To ensure project completion and client satisfaction, coordinate day two and punch list tasks.
