Reports to: Principal

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Be an active and faithful member of the Catholic Church, or if not a practicing Catholic, acknowledge respect for the Catholic Teachings on faith and morals and agree not to teach or act in a way openly contrary to them;
Model and promote behavior in conformity with the Catholic Church’s teaching on matters of faith and morals in both his/her personal and professional lives (whether on or off campus and whether on or off duty); refrain from promoting as acceptable conduct or positions that contradict the Catholic social doctrine or morals;
Be an example of Catholic faith for teachers, school staff, students and parents.
Work in a manner integrally connected to carrying out the Mission and Vision of the CUES School System;
Provide leadership for developing and maintaining a strong religious education program and Catholic identity.
Provide spiritual growth opportunities for staff and students.
Comply with all policies, handbooks, rules, and regulations of the CUES School System and of the Archdiocese of Omaha;
Show respect for all students, staff, and school community members;
Provide appropriate learning opportunities for all students and supervise assigned school activities;
Provide a safe, secure environment;
Observe the rules and regulations established by the Archdiocese of Omaha for those who are entrusted to work with Catholic youth.
Attend religious services with students, parents, and other employees when appropriate;
Participate in prayer before meetings, at prayer services, and otherwise and, where appropriate, leads students and parents in prayer.
Help create and maintain a productive environment where there is a sense of Christian community, a positive learning environment, effective communication, and shared responsibility.
Review school mission and goals in relation to Archdiocesan and CUES directives.
Communicate effectively and consistently to promote and support the goals and objectives of the school to the greater community.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Fulfill professional development requirements .
Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language required. Valid Nebraska Driver’s License and good driving record preferred.
A deeply rooted belief that all students can and will learn, as failure is not an option.
Excellent attendance record.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Positive interpersonal skills
This individual will exhibit skills pertinent to foster positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community
A willingness and demonstrated abilities conducive to a continuous quest for quality education and lifelong learning
Supervisory Functions and Responsibilities:
Co-Create and Co-Foster a positive climate and learning environment with the collaboration of the Principal.
Provide and demonstrate a loving and caring relationship with all students, families, staff, and the community.
Know the backgrounds, abilities, and special needs of all students
Oversee and Facilitate the SAT Process
Actively engage and participate in the MDT/IEP process with OPS students
Ensure the health and safety of all students, families, and staff.
Direct and support teachers in establishing an appropriate discipline philosophy for the school, especially incorporating social emotional learning through the implementation of Boys Town Training, PBIS, and the Pyramid Model
Facilitate and monitor age appropriate programs for religious, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of all students with the collaboration of the Principal.
Provide administrative support to Madonna program in collaboration with the Principal

Education and Experience
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision.
Administrative experience is recommended.
