DXP's Northern California Service Center, located in Richmond, is one of only a few facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area with the capability and expertise to remanufacture heavy industrial process rotating equipment - primarily pumps. Our Flowserve Authorized Repair Facility has earned an excellent reputation with our customers and in the industry. Service and quality are number one.\

We are searching for a journeyman MANUAL MACHINIST to work at our Richmond Service Center. Our shop is tooled with horizontal boring mills, vertical turret lathes, 10 engine lathes, 4 mills, cylindrical grinder, Blanchard grinder and much more.\
\
Responsibilities of the Manual Machinist include, but are not limited to:\
\
Read blue prints and sketches\
Have ability to single point thread and use wire gauges\
Use lathe taper attachment, steady rest, three and four jaw chucks\
Set up jobs on a horizontal boring mill\
Accurately measure and sketch components utilizing precision measuring instruments\
\
Qualifications of the Manual Machinist include, but are not limited to: \
\
Possess a California Driver's License\
Have a high school degree or equivalent\
Own tools including basic micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges and more\
Have three years with journey level experience\
Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements \
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals\
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items\
\

Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.\

\
Travel: Possess a California Driver's License\
\
Education: High school diploma or equivalent -completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset\
