Job description
LAND SURVEYING PROJECT MANAGER
Specific Requirements:
Understand standard principles, practices, and processes.
CA Professional Licensure or Land Surveyor in Training
Previous project management experience
Capable of managing a team and several projects with deadlines.
Demonstrates strong self-motivation and effective communication abilities.
Proficiency with conventional survey apparatus, robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data gathering applications is required. The Land Survey Manager must:
Demonstrate independent judgment when scoping, pricing, overseeing and managing projects.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and requirements, such as boundary calculations and surveying requirements.
Complete projects on schedule and within budget.
Provide guidance to land surveying staff on projects, activities, and operations.
Possess a bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in the field. Use significant expertise and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
Handle a range of challenging jobs.
Collaborate with principals, project managers, and clients on project proposals and interviews. Prepare construction staking proposals and survey records for evaluation by the Director of Survey.
