Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Corporate Accountant to join our finance team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance for our firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1\. Financial Operations Management:

- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for the firm's corporate entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and general ledger entries.

- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and adherence to internal controls and policies.

2\. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP standards.

- Analyze financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

3\. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and payments.

- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate annual audits and reviews, respond to inquiries, and address audit findings.

- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements as needed.

4\. Financial Planning and Forecasting:

- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the firm's operations and strategic initiatives.

- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decisions and improve financial performance.

5\. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including attorneys, practice group leaders, and department heads, to provide financial support and guidance as needed.

- Collaborate with the Director of Finance and other team members to streamline processes, optimize efficiency, and enhance the overall financial management of the firm.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
* Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
