Job description
Position Overview: The Healthcare Bookkeeper is responsible for providing financial bookkeeping and accounting services for a healthcare organization. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and an understanding of accounting principles and procedures. The Healthcare Bookkeeper is responsible for recording, analyzing, and communicating all financial transactions and preparing financial statements for review.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain books of account including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxes, and financial statements
Analyze and reconcile financial data
Prepare and post journal entries
Prepare reports for management
Assist with the annual audit process
Manage and monitor cash flow
Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
Process employee payroll and prepare relevant reports
Create and update financial records
Maintain general ledgers
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles and procedures
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, or other accounting software
Familiarity with banking procedures and financial reporting requirements
Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines.
