Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company in their search for an Editorial Specialist . This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid).

The Editorial Specialist is a key member of the Marketing Communications team. An ideal candidate would have demonstrable experience or aptitude working with data – assessing, organizing, and quality-checking.

Qualifications :

• Requires a bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis on economics, finance, statistics, journalism, or a related field.
• Must have 1 to 3 years of experience in editorial, marketing, and/or data analysis OR are a recent college graduate.
• Must ensure materials are error-free by helping to fact-check marketing materials and statistical backup.
• Will access various databases and systems to retrieve current data to update a variety of materials.
• Must have advanced Excel skills, which include the ability to produce graphs and tables, use spreadsheets efficiently, and perform calculations and automation to process large volumes of data.
• Will proofread, fact-check materials, and verify statistics and facts against internal and external sources.
• Will compile circulation comments from legal, business, marketing, and creative associates onto a master document.
• Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, strong grammar, and syntax skills.
• Must demonstrate strong production coordination skills, including following production schedules, tracking deliverables, problem-solving, and escalating issues as appropriate.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and across broad, diverse groups.
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

• The primary focus of the Editorial Specialist is to assist with data updates and markups on a variety of documents. This will require pulling data from several systems and sources and organizing that data for record-keeping purposes.

• Additionally, the Editorial Specialist will collaborate with various internal groups to manage projects and ensure all tasks are scheduled and completed on time.

• Professional experience in finance or another data-intensive industry, or a minor or major in a quantitative/business discipline at college, is preferred.  

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $38.62/hour to $38.62/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
