Job description
Kforce has a client in Pittsburgh, PA that is hiring a Scrum Master to be a coach and facilitator for onshore and offshore teams. Your work will include coaching team members, proactively eliminating barriers, and facilitating team delivery on sprint goals. You will work closely with your team and Product Owner and peer Scrum Masters to support Sprint and Release Planning, foster team self-awareness, encourage cross-training, decision-making and continuous improvement.
Future Duties & Responsibilities:
- Mentoring Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to help them effectively apply Agile practices
- Coaching teams and individuals in Agile mindset, behaviors, and techniques to improve their performance
- Manage multiple team project's scope and timeline
- Status Reporting and Briefing
- Coordinate Kanban Meeting, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
- Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives
- Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team. Collaborate with the team in scheduling work, including defect remediation and refactoring, guarding against the accumulation of technical debt
- Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
- Help teams implement changes effectively
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
- Communicating status, risks, issues and/or concerns to leadership in a timely manner
- Maintaining and updating documentation regarding the design and operation of all software and systems components
