Job Overview

Serves as a liaison between all patients and/or families to Administration as well as with all other Departments of the Hospital and all members of the Health Care Team. Of primary concern is to effect the best possible patient relations through communications with the total hospital staff and is the voice of the patient to all who are directly or indirectly responsible for the patient's care and welfare. Initiates and cooperates in the development of programs and channels of communication for patients. Assists in resolving needs and concerns of patients as well as those of their families or other visitors not routinely handled by other hospital staff.

Qualifications

Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and two to three years of previous work related experience. Work requires the ability to interpret Hospital policies in situations requiring judgment and persuasion, develop and write instructional/training materials, develop management briefings, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
