Job Purpose:

The CAD Designer reports directly to the Client Support Services Manager. The CAD Designer uses CAD software and Bluebeam to prepare, and reference technical drawings from handwritten drawings, electronic sketches, and diagrams. Details to include all views and notations necessary. This will be an in-office position.

Experience/Education:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

General: Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently or in a team-oriented environment; ability to follow verbal and written instructions, to maintain the confidentiality of data and to accept constructive criticism.

Technical: High skill level in Autodesk AutoCAD software with a strong understanding of document layout, X-Ref’s, Layer Management, and Viewport scaling, skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.

Personal: Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Communication: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Mathematical: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer: Ability to proficiently use computer software programs and related computer applications, Outlook, Excel, Visio and other Microsoft Office applications and other industry-specific technology tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar used within the organization

Salary Range:$60,000 to $75,000 a year
