- Pay: $125,000-$130,000 / year
- Bonus: Percentage of salary based on company net profit and paid in July
- Experience: 10 years in accounting in a manufacturing environment with 5 years in finance and account management
The Assistant Controller is responsible for managing the companies fiscal and financial accounting functions for our client's US Systems Division (manufacturing and assembly of our client's compressors), in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Group Accounting and Calculation Standards.
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Understand and enforce corporate and local finance and accounting standard requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate budget analysis and financial reviews for the management team.
- Align financial policies and procedures with company and Group objectives.
- Establish financial reporting systems and controls, ensuring compliance with company expenditure requirements and customer needs.
- Generate monthly financial reports, rolling quarterly forecasts, and discuss with BCUS VP Finance and VP of Operations Systems Division before submitting to corporate.
Project Financial Oversight:
- Understand financial project management and provide relevant financial project data to project managers and company management.
- Ensure financial project documentation is filed and maintained, reconciling projects within the accounting system.
Leadership and Compliance:
- Assist with cash management and foreign currency requirements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Review and reconcile all Systems Division trial balance accounts, recording monthly accruals, absorptions, foreign exchange reevaluations, and amortizations.
- Train, develop, mentor, and provide effective leadership to accounting and administrative personnel.
- Support the evaluation of investment requests within the company related to the Systems Division.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant certification (CPA).
- 10+ years accounting experience in manufacturing, with 5+ years in finance and accounting management.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol screen.
Language/Math/Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math and common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP manufacturing module preferred.
- Competent in electronic mail, record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics.

Working Environment:
- Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting.
- Moderate noise level (business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
- Up to 15% travel domestically and internationally.
- Regular working hours Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00, with occasional work outside regular business hours.
