Job description
Job Summary:
Applies protective coatings to campus structures and equipment using appropriate methods and materials. Prepares surfaces prior to painting by sanding, scraping, and filling holes and cracks with appropriate materials as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of journey level skills in the paint trade. Demonstrated working knowledge of paints and painting methods. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions and work independently to complete assigned tasks. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with repairing and preparing wall surfaces prior to painting to include applying drywall compounds and tapes to repair existing walls and ceilings and to newly constructed walls and surfaces to facilitate a proper finish for painting.
