Candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent; have completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency program and a minimum of 1 year of fellowship training, and be ABR- certified/eligible. Eligibility for Texas medical licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employment is required. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

The Community Radiology Division provides comprehensive clinical imaging services at numerous locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In addition, division faculty cross-cover other services at Clements University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and Texas Health Frisco. Accordingly, the Chief oversees a division that works with referring physicians and providers throughout the surrounding community, acting as an ambassador to external physician practices and internal departments, and playing a role in translating imaging practices to the community.

Faculty members have dedicated academic time with many opportunities to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong basic science group, as well as other clinical and basic science departments throughout the campus. Administrative, biostatistical and logistical support are provided. Strong collaborations with imaging vendors enrich discovery opportunities. Faculty benefits include an excellent healthcare plan, competitive salary and retirement benefits. A convenient on-campus transportation system ensures mobility between the various clinic locations across the expansive campus. Nearby daycare is also available.

Compliance with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate enforced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) is a requirement for this position.  Federal law requires individuals holding this position to be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption for certain medical, disability, or religious reasons.  Individuals who do not meet CMS vaccination requirements are not eligible and should not apply for this position but are encouraged to apply for other non-healthcare positions at UT Southwestern for which they qualify.
