Job description

Staff On Site currently recruiting for an experienced Mig Welder for an established company in South Beloit, IL.

1st shift 6a to 2:30p Wage between $16 and $17 pending experience, welding test and interview.

MIG welders measure, cut, and assemble metal projects using an electric arc and inert gas. They select suitable material, ensure the work area is safe, prepare metal surfaces, determine gas ratios, and inspect weld strength during and after the welding process. MIG welders should be physically strong and have good troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities:

* Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.

* Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.

* Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately.

* Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.

* Determining correct gas ratios.

* Testing the strength of each join during and after project completion.

* Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.

* Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement.
