As a Production Manager, you will ensure efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level).

Manufacturing Unit Manager
Your responsibilities
- Organize and allocate resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets, responding to resource issues as necessary.
- Lead capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned area.
- Ensure that production scheduling and production plan meets the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.
- Identify and recommend technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
- Ensure execution of volume, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.
- Identify deficiencies in production area, propose improvement activities, and oversee implementation of actions to improve production performance.
- Manage the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.
- Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
- Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
Your background
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing environment required.
- Previous leadership and management experience.
- Knowledge of scheduling and production control processes.
- Knowledge of supply chain insourcing and outsourcing decisions and process.
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
- Advanced understanding of excel and other database tools
- Strong ERP experience (SAP) Torque and AMSAP.
- Experience in organizational change and change management.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
