Join our team as a Line Cook and become an integral part of our kitchen staff!

We are renowned for our natural hot springs, unique ice museum, breathtaking aurora viewing, and geothermal-powered facilities. Situated sixty miles North-East of Fairbanks, Alaska, our resort offers year-round operations with a plethora of summer and winter activities for both locals and visitors alike. Nestled in a remote location, our resort features a full-service restaurant, café, hotel accommodations, and gift shops, providing an exceptional experience to our guests.

Responsibilities of the Line Cook:

- Set up and replenish food items and essential supplies.
- Prepare food items according to specified recipes and standards through cutting, chopping, mixing, and sauce preparation.
- Utilize various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, and sautéing.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food sanitation guidelines by handling food properly and ensuring appropriate storage.
- Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the conclusion of each shift.
- Conduct inventory checks and maintain food storage logs.

As a Line Cook, you will be tasked with preparing breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner meals for our restaurant patrons. A Food Handler's Card is required for this fast-paced role, which may entail working 6-7 days a week for 10-12 hour shifts. We provide room and board, along with an employee stock ownership plan, allowing you to immerse yourself in our remote locale while enjoying access to our hot springs and a myriad of year-round activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proficiency in basic written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational abilities
- Accuracy and efficiency in task execution
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Aptitude for following directions and instructions

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to two years of experience in a similar culinary role, such as line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Preferably holds a Certificate in Culinary Arts
- Familiarity with various cooking methods and industry best practices

As with all positions at our resort, we provide single- or double-occupancy housing with communal bathrooms, along with two hot meals per day and breakfast cereals.
