Our Team:
The Head of Brand & Innovation Finance Performance oversees a $1.6 billion over-the-counter healthcare profit and loss (P&L) by leveraging data to generate actionable insights, interpreting financial trends, and optimizing brand P&Ls.
Main responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partner to Head of Brand & Innovation
- Drive strategic decision-making with sound judgment, finance expertise, and business acumen.
- Collaborate with the marketing department and brand finance performance leads to achieve financial targets.
- Act as a financial consultant, providing insights and guiding the decision-making process.
- Optimize investments to maximize brand profitability, with a focus on media performance.
- Understand industry trends and economic indicators to impact financial performance and identify risks.
- Manage by influence and cooperate with other functions such as HR, Supply Chain, and Sourcing for alignment and consistency of information and data.
Drive and Monitor Financial Performance and Forecasting
- Review business plans, identify risks and opportunities, and make investment recommendations.
- Lead the monthly integrated business planning (IBP) process, emphasizing brand volumes in the strategic plan.
- Align forecasts with Sales, fostering a consensus view.
- Challenge business assumptions, understand market dynamics, and make accurate financial predictions.
- Improve forecast accuracy by analyzing brand sales forecasts, tracking variances, and providing insights.
Manage Financial Closing and Sales Reporting
- Collaborate with GBS and Marketing teams to ensure accurate accruals for media, promotions, and operating expenses.
- Prepare and present clear financial performance reports with comprehensive brand analysis.
- Conduct variance analysis, communicating deviations to regional stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial principles.
- Build and lead high-performing, diverse teams.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities delegated by the CHC NA, Head of Financial Performance.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Directly manages one (1) direct report
- Partner with, and manage through influence:
- Brand Finance Performance Leads
- Commercial teams, including Brand Teams and Media Teams
- Supply Chain teams
- GBS Teams, including Account-to-Report and Source-to-Pay teams
- Country Business teams (HR, Procurement)
- Other FP&A stakeholders at zone, regional and global levels
KEY DIMENSIONS
Sales, Demand Forecasting, Advertising & Promotion, Brand P&L, Marketing expense
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or economics preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage transversal work.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Extensive experience supporting CPG marketing teams.
- Competency in driving change and supporting business decisions through technical and analytical expertise.
- Autonomous, hands-on approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, business partnering, or similar roles.
- Proficient in financial and accounting software, Microsoft Excel; Power BI and database management skills are a plus.
- Excellent data interpretation and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English.
