Overview

The Opportunity:

General Dynamics Electric Boat, the worlds foremost designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking an IT Cloud Infrastructure Supervisor to join the organization within the Information Technology (EBIT) Department. Electric Boat Information Technology is pursuing a hyrbid cloud implementation as part of a multi-year strategy to modernize the company's IT infrastructure. Candidates will need to be familiar with Microsoft Azure/M365, Amazon AWS, and Oracle OCI as part of a 3 year transformation schedule.

Position Summary:

The Information Technology Cloud Infrastructure Group Supervisor will lead a group of Cloud Engineers for the creation, documentation, and management of Electric Boat's hybrid-cloud infrastructure. The Cloud Infrastructure Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the operations EB's hybrid-cloud infrastructure within a highly skilled team.

A successful candidate will be able to balance IT requirements, cybersecurity requirements, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve those requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ability to reduce complex topics and distill them into Executive Level Summaries
• Ability to supervise skilled professionals in various highly specialized backgrounds
• Capacity to comprehend architect level cloud infrastructure programs (Oracle, Amazon, Microsoft), and obtain certifications if required

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years experience within a managerial or supervisory capacity specializing in enterprise cloud solutions
• 2+ years experience in one or more of the following platforms: Microsoft Azure, Azure / M365, Amazon AWS or Oracle OCI
• Experience working within large enterprise IT environments
• Candidate must be from organizations outside of operations (Casciano/Gabriel)

Preferred:

• AZ305 Microsoft Azure Architect
• Amazon Certified Solutions Architect
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect
