Job description
Position Summary:
The Billing Analyst is responsible to complete agency bill invoicing and serve as a liaison between the account management teams and the accounting team to ensure prompt client billing and resolve any invoicing discrepancies. The Billing Analyst will work through complex invoicing relating to multiple entities/regions, coordinate surplus lines tax invoicing and complete complex outstanding accounting discrepancies. A strong communicator with a desire to learn, problem-solve and be a proactive team player are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Complete complex invoicing for agency bill items for designated Region based on applicable workflows and service level standards
Resolve accounting discrepancies that have increased complexity or have been outstanding for over 90 days
Provide problem-solving support to account teams that have complicated client invoicing and/or historic discrepancies that need an increased level of support/knowledge to resolve
Review account setup in broker management system to ensure proper screens are set up correctly
Communicate to account servicing teams when adjustments to screen setups or additional information is needed to invoice policies
Complete review and resolution for open direct bill discrepancies from accounting team
Coordinate with accounting team on any corrections needed to expedite carrier payments
Provide support to account servicing teams on check requests for return premiums or other cash advance activities – including overall review of “Good Credit Report”
Qualifications
College degree (preferred)
Previous Insurance accounting experience (required)
Experience with Applied Systems EPIC and/or BenefitPoint (preferred)
Ability to plan, organize and execute work activities independently
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and proactive, positive attitude
