Job Summary:
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Marketing is the global marketing arm of The Walt Disney Studios. Our business is responsible for the creative advertising, research, media, publicity and promotion of theatrical and streaming properties released by the Walt Disney Studios: Disney Live Action, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney Animation, Pixar, DisneyNature, 20th Century Studios, Star Original and Disney+.
Responsibilities
- Participate in creative collaboration with International Creative team to create and implement campaigns, which include one sheets, in-theatre, outdoor creative, mall exhibits, living one sheets, Trailers, TV spots, creative content, Disney Channel content, and customized materials as needed by markets, from concept through production and finishing.
- Collaborate with local markets on collecting creative feedback.
- Query all market quantities for print runs driven by Home Office, then handle the shipping and delivery of the products.
- Lead title submissions including the approval and creation of local titles – supplied to all lines of business across the company.
- Work alongside the team to secure approvals from the legal and music teams, talent reps, internal partners, etc.
- Use SmartSheet to Track Trailers, TV spots, Creative Content and their debut dates.
- Collaborate with domestic and localization teams to manage assets including, unit photography, viz dev art, special shoot, stock photography and footage, needed to build and finish creative.
- Ensure all versions, layouts and files received from vendors/partners are placed on the server promptly and in an organized fashion.
- Gather feedback from the team to create and prepare materials for focus groups and online testing.
- Manage materials calendar, including in-house databases, generate reports and communicate to the markets and other teams the available materials and delivery schedules.
- Liaise and communicate with internal departments, including Domestic, Marketing Strategy, Promotions, Digital, Publicity, Cinema Partnerships, Trailer Localization team, etc. for global consistency and sharing of materials.
- Manage asset uploads, user access, and troubleshooting for territory requests.
- Handle all invoices by processing and tracking payments and spending in a timely manner.
- Support team with special projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in or interest in learning Print and A/V Creative Advertising.
- 2+ years of experience in Creative Advertising, Marketing or related area within the entertainment industry - International experience a plus!
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote.
- Flexible and willing to work overtime as needed due to projects or international schedules.
- Ability to work well individually, while also collaborating with the larger group.
- Ability to accept changes readily and be flexible in adapting to re-prioritized tasks.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in a second language.
- Experience working on Animation.
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere (or their equivalent) a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
The hiring range for this position in CA is $55,000.00 to $73,600.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
