Procurement Manager
Location: West Chicago – Hybrid schedule, 3 days in office
Salary: 75-100K based on experience.
Hours: Monday – Friday 1 st shift
Duration: Permanent, direct hire

What’s a typical day as a Procurement Manager? You’ll be:
Working alongside the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to develop, implement, and execute procurement strategies.
Source suppliers, raw materials, chemicals
Staying current on global market trends and translating them into proactive risk, supply, and cost controls.
Collaborating with operational branches, corporate supply chain, technical, and commercial teams to support strategic initiatives.
Conducting periodic supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators to optimize procurement processes and supplier performance.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to forecast production needs and plan for future demand.
Negotiating contracts and terms with outside vendors.
Supporting all company facilities by maintaining steady communication with key positions to coordinate flow and use of materials.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
Have 5+ years of procurement experience in a production environment.
Strong direct procurement experience
Excellent sourcing experience for suppliers, raw materials, chemicals
Prior supervisory or management experience in procurement
SAP or similar ERP
Demonstrate strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Possess a successful track record of improving quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Are proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Show the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Are proficient in procurement software.
Can work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Have robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
Have relevant certification in APICS, ISM, or equivalent (a plus).
Have knowledge of the ink industry or chemical industry (a plus).
