Job description

A top-performing, boutique hedge fund located in Greenwich, CT is looking for a Head of Quantitative Research to join their fund. The fund has nearly 10 years of running successful systematic strategies and is actively seeking someone to help manage their research agenda from the top-down as they further expand their footprint by diversifying asset coverage and trading frequency.

The fund has already built out a tight-knit, highly academic environment comprised of accomplished researchers and developers that have helped establish their success early on. The Head of Quantitative Research will be instrumental in helping the fund further develop their capabilities and further drive PnL within the organization. The ideal candidate will have:

• 10+ years experience working in a quantitative hedge fund (equities experience is a plus)
• Previous experience in a managerial capacity as a Senior QR, Portfolio Manager and/or Head of Research function
• Ability to remain hands on in research/development while also managing more junior members in the team
• Strong Python and/or C++ skillset
• Advanced STEM degree
• Strong communication skills and desire to work in a collaborative environment
