Summary
Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Project Coordinator performs a majority of work that is project based for our international customer base. The role is responsible for facilitating positive business relationships with customers, planning, coordinating and completing assigned projects with several cross-functional teams and departments. Projects tend to vary in length and complexity but are not permanent. This role also provides direction to others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Account management for specified customers within our product customer base
- Maintains continuous contact with both internal and external customers in order to develop strong relationship
- Plans, coordinates and complete assigned customer projects in conjunction with other departments
- Performs customer profit models, their impact and margin analysis
- Creates and enters pipeline opportunities from rep reports and reports to the team
- Enters orders in an efficient and accurate manner, issue returns and credits accurately
- Makes independent judgement falling within established limits of authority and will refer to Customer Service Manager for guidance
- Works closely with sales and operations to orchestrate success of their assigned accounts
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations
- Maintain close working relationships with the sales team
- Utilizes end-user knowledge in decision making
- Provides accurate product lead-time information to customers, and provide order ship date and details to customers
- Services active accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule
- Maintains replacement parts and pricing database
- Captures new product ideas and problems from market place and transfer them to Marketing Department for follow-up
- Builds and maintain customer account information by (a) making sure mailing/ billing/ shipping addresses are kept up to date (b) making sure all phone and fax numbers are up to date (c) making sure routing instructions and freight programs are up to date and (d) making sure discounts are coming up correctly during order entry
- Attend industry trade shows, buying group meetings and sales seminars and prepare dealer sales personnel by conducting and /or participating in sales promotions, educational meetings and dealer trade shows
- Performs support for the Customer Service Project Specialist as needed
- Performs Customer Experience Specialist functions as needed
- Other duties as assigned
