Overview
As dub's first product manager, you will have the monumental task of working with dub's Founder and core team to transform our product from a great investing app to a billion-user fintech platform. You will have the full support from our talented team, proven leaders, and incredible investors.
You will own the planning and execution of dub's core product while working closely with the founders, senior leadership, and the core team. You will work relentlessly to ensure dub gets to product market fit and beyond. You will help build a world-class consumer product organization and be obsessive about creating magical user experiences for any and all investors globally. You will lay the foundations for attracting the best product talent and making dub's product organization known as best-in-class through the results of your work.
You are also excited to push the boundaries of the known world and seek to establish a new status quo. You are focused on delivering results and know how to wield the soft and hard influence required to guide the team to delivering ambitious features on time. You are a hard worker who leads by example.
Location: You can work out of our office in NYC (preferred) or potentially remotely wherever you are in the United States.
Compensation: Competitive market comp ($90k - $180K based on experience and geo). You'll also receive a generous amount of equity in dub.
The Role
Responsibilities
Product Focused
- Work with Founder as dub's product team to get dub's core product to product market fit
- Lead early product function by operationalizing product efforts and building foundational product processes
- Make revenue and high ROI-driven product decisions that align with company strategy and timeline
- Define, track, and communicate key product metrics via dashboards, reports, and data manipulation with the Engineering team
- Define customers, develop strategy to validate each customer persona, and decide on which customers are company/product priorities
- Empower Marketing and Sales teams with the product knowledge required to make dub's releases and growth successful
- Work with core team to craft, execute, and iterate product launch and go-to-market strategies
- Ensure product launches are on time and meet defined requirements
- Spearhead new product development and drive product focus
- Ensure and validate the quality of new product and feature releases
Team Focused - Facilitate cross-department Product collaboration with Engineering, Compliance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations
- Lead product roadmap planning (and its successful implementation) across core products based on company vision and strategy
- Lead planning for short and long-term product initiatives with the senior leadership team
- Create and lead customer experimentation function by gathering and iterating on internal and external feedback with the Engineering team
- Work with senior leadership to help hire future product roles
- A passion for finance and breaking down barriers for the regular human
Qualifications - You've worked with engineering, compliance, and product teams to launch new products from 0 to 100 repeatedly
- 2+ years leading product initiatives as the directly responsible individual
- You have domain knowledge of investing, money movement, wealth management, and consumer behavior/psychology
- You have strong operational experience with keeping internal teams on track
- You've worked hard on multiple product iterations to achieve customer success
- You've had an engineering and/or design job experience at a consumer or fintech company
- You've worked in consumer-focused fintech or investing companies
- You have strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills and experience operating in regulated product industries and operating within constraints
- You've used tools like Jira, Linear, or other project management tools to develop user stories and collaborate with engineers
- You have strong data analytics skills, including tools like SQL, Python, Tableau
- You have demonstrated a history of working with top talent
- You're deeply passionate about finance and investing
