Job description

Key responsibilities of this role include: - Observing screen during scans to ensure that the image produced is satisfactory for diagnostic purposes, making adjustments to equipment as required
- Observing and caring for patients throughout examinations to ensure safety and comfort
- Providing sonogram and oral or written summary of technical findings to physician for use in medical diagnosis
- Selecting appropriate equipment settings and adjusting patient positions to obtain the best sites and angles
- Operating ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the motion, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, or bodily masses, such as fluid accumulations
Key qualifications to be considered for this include: - ARDMS/CCI certified or graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by CHEA, USDOE, or CMA that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology and eligible for registry
- American Heart Association BLS required within 90 days
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) within 90 days of employment
