Description
As the Customer Service Team Lead, you are responsible for hiring, training, developing, and evaluating your staff. You will also be in charge of overseeing all daily FOH operations to ensure profitability through outstanding presentation, customer service, and daily cost control. The Customer Service Team Lead is responsible for cultivating a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level. The CS Team Leader is also responsible for any and all tournaments that go on throughout the year from inception to completion, ensuring the staffing needs are communicated to the scheduling team lead. The Leader must provide strong leadership and clear vision to the FOH staff in support of the company’s mission and values. The CS Team Leader acts as the point person for all things front desk including birthday parties, leagues and smiling faces!
Duties and responsibilities
- Use and ensure staff is using all daily, weekly, monthly checklists
- Point person for all bowling leagues
- Point person for all tournaments both league and open bowl.
- Generally oversee all birthday parties and assign a party host as needed
- Recruit and train team members to meet company and guest expectations
- Coaches, teaches and motivates team to maintain high-quality guest service and safety
- Use business skills and judgment in cost control procedures, financial accounting, inventory levels, and labor management
- Overseeing daily operations to ensure everything is running correctly
- Be able and willing to work as a team and foster/demonstrate a positive team environment - remember on our team there is no such thing as “that’s not my job”
- Encouraging team members to stay on task
- Responsible for improving the sales and profitability of the business year over year.
- Compliance with all operating and quality standards.
- Provides a Harassment Free work environment.
- Meet with other department heads to ensure proper communication for goals/tasks as needed - and as scheduled by your Center Team Leader
- Ensures break schedules are planned out to avoid break violations and follow all California meal and break laws when working as LOD (Leader on Duty)
- Responsible for the safe operation of the facility and will address safety/security concerns as necessary.
- Train and coach staff on how to book and schedule birthday parties and groups
- Accountable generating ideas for new leagues and tournaments (youth, mom and me, ADA league, home school, etc.)
- Manage customer bowling equipment (lockers, house balls, socks, shoes etc)- including inventory levels and condition of those items.
- Coordinating all tournaments with respective tournament hosts based on store schedule
- Opening and closing the business as needed - including balancing tills and making bank deposits.
- Be knowledgeable of center policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
- Promptly report safety, equipment and food quality problems to appropriate department or Owner
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Experience in management a huge plus
- Able to work in a high stress environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Time and Priority management skills
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Working conditions
- Must be able to work in hot conditions for extended periods of time (80-100 degrees)
- Must be able to work in cold conditions for short periods of time (40-10 degrees)
- Must be able to safely work around chemicals commonly used in restaurant and kitchen environments
Physical requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while working (2-6 hours at a time)
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Frequent bending, turning, shifting, kneeling walking and lifting of common kitchen items will be required throughout each shift.
- Must be able to work around all common foods including but not limited to fruits, nuts, raw meats and shellfish that would commonly be found in a restaurant kitchen environment
