Job description

Birch Hill Catering is looking for an experienced full-time or part-time housekeeper to maintain our venue and back of house spaces. Scheduling can be relatively flexible depending on candidate needs. Our ideal candidate is versatile, detailed, independent, and flexible.

Birch Hill Catering is located at 1 Celebration Way in Castleton-on-Hudson, NY. We are are a banquet house with nearly 90 years of experience in weddings, reunions, corporate events, and gatherings of all kinds.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, mop and vacuum floors
• Shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery as needed
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated area
• Maintain health and sanitary requirements
• Maintain bathroom presentation and hygiene
• Launder, fold, and inventory table linen
• Dust, wipe, and clean baseboards, mirror, windows, etc
• Maintain organization and inventory of cleaning supplies

Qualifications

• Ability to manage time effectively to ensure completion of tasks
• Experience and knowledge of cleaning practices preferred
• Practiced communication and organization skills
• Flexibility to work in a variety of spaces, across two properties
