Job description
Where we need you
- Ensures on-time delivery to customers, inventory accuracy, and accurate Pre-Series planning to meet customer requirements and inventory targets.
- Monitor & review EDI daily from all Customers.
- Ensures organization and flow of all Pre-Series parts as required
- Ensures that all required components and raw materials are available to meet Pre-Series plan. Perform cycle counts KAUFs & WIP parts on a weekly basis to maintain proper Pre-Series inventory levels.
- Coordinates Pre-Series sample requests and bank builds as required with direction from Plant Manager.
- Plans all Prototype shipments from independent tool shops.
- Maintains MM30 for Pre-Series as required.
- Ensure all Costumer Pre-Series/Prototype Part SAP Data is complete and up to date.
- Communicates Pre-Series discrepancies or issues with Launch/Plant Manager, Project Managers, customers, planning, purchasing and suppliers as necessary.
- Responsible for Pre-Series shipping to schedule (on time).
- Support with Pre-Series part runs & shipments, as necessary.
- Reviews exception messages daily and processes and expedites accordingly.
- Collaborate with Launch/Plant Manager on pre-Series freight in the most cost-effective manner.
- Ensures excellent communication with production planning in the event of supply problems.
- Communicate with Planning personnel, Customers, Project Managers, Internal Sales, Logistics
- Update Customers directly of delay or shipping issues for all Prototypes/Pre-Series parts.
- Expectations are 24/7 availability by cell phone to answer calls during off shifts. May require off-hours written responses to customers, suppliers, project managers, tool shops, etc.
- Knowledge of customer specific requirements (CSR) necessary through advanced training, or work experience or a combination of the two.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
How to convince us
- 3 + years experience in management of materials planning, inventory, warehousing, material handling, and packaging components preferably in the automotive industry.
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with SAP.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant equivalent experiencec
