POSITION : Sr. CAD Designer
PAY RATE : $90,000-$125,000 per year with benefits
WORK HOURS : Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
LOCATION: In Office - Fort Collins, CO or Lakewood, CO
 
Job Description :
Forte Dynamics, a Colorado based engineering firm, is seeking a Senior CAD Designer (civil and/or mechanical). This person will work with our CAD design team and our engineering team on world-class designs in the mining industry. Work focus will be on general CAD design including grading, pumping and piping, site layouts, equipment layouts, plan and profiles, cross sections, P&ID’s, and drawing package development for project work. Project work would also expand into 3D models in Navisworks, Sketch-up and other software to overlay design in Google Earth and other platforms to integrate design into real world in 3D model.

Responsibilities :

• Aid in the production of complete and accurate design drawings
• Interact and communicate with project team
• Learn and apply new or upgraded software
• Ability to work remotely via Microsoft Teams, ProjectWise, and Office
• Provide excellent customer service 

 
Skills/Experience/Qualifications :

• Drafting: 5+ years (required)
• AutoCAD: 5+ years (required)
• Civil 3D: 3 years or Plant 3D: 3 years (preferred)
• Experience with detail design for projects to be constructed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills, dependability, and work ethic
• Proven design capabilities with keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as work effectively as a team member
• Ability to work in a fast paced and fluid environment
• Ability to take direction well and learn quickly
