Your Impact:
Jacobs is seeking for Information Systems Security Engineers (ISSE) for a premier program that supports its federal partner in Chantilly VA.
We are searching for experienced Information Systems Security Engineers (ISSE) to support the customer’s critical networks. The candidate will be expected to review essential systems for IT vulnerabilities and assist in mitigating, applying, and developing the remediation for identified threats.
The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) shall perform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability and non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations and recommend mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and document formal security programs and policies throughout the program and monitor compliance with these policies and programs.
- Collaborate with security managers to define, improve, implement, and maintain information security policies, strategies, and procedures.
- Implement Information Assurance (IA) processes, provide guidance, and develop documentation throughout the system development life cycle.
- Ability to communicate effectively with system engineers, system administrators, software developers, information assurance professionals, operational users, and diverse mission planners.
- Validating and verifying system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishing system security designs
- Assess potential risks, mitigation measures, and residual risks, and recommend approval or disapproval.
- Facilitate and manage security vulnerability assessments.
- Manage and maintain a library of security audit tools and corresponding processes that can be used for system security testing, internal audits, incident response, and diagnosis of security-related system issues.
- Facilitate the collection, audit, and submission of required deliverables through the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- CISSP or CISSP-ISSEP DoD approved 8570 baseline certifications.
- The candidate must have extensive experience and education in information assurance, accreditation security testing, and evaluation.
- Experienced with assisting architects and systems developers in identifying and implementing appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application of security policy and enterprise solutions.
- Experience enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures.
- Recent experience creating and updating C&A packages.
- TS/SCI clearance with Poly
Preferred:
- ITIL Foundations certification is desired.
- Candidate must possess CISSP or equivalent IA certification and a Cisco CCNA Security or equivalent.
- Candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of Windows security, virtualization security, and network security.
