Typical Day in the Role
Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to define the data architecture and data environment for Microsoft Commercial sellers
Key projects: This role will contribute to building a recommendation engine for the offers for the commercial sales team
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of:
Meeting with business stakeholders and business requirements owners to understand those requirements.
Exploring Microsoft data systems to identify certain data structures and environments.
Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces
Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant. Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action
Provides daily supervision and direction to staff

Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience Required: 10 + overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred degree is required to be eligible for this role.

Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain:
Prior Experience working with Microsoft doing data for Microsoft Commercial sellers (nice to have
Experience and expertise with Fabric (Nice to have)
Experience working with machine learning models (nice to have)
Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages
Experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients
Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations
Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
Requires practical experience and training
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on ability to organize and document tasks to get completed. Quality of data models and data analysis. Ability to create the necessary data models and data structures to fulfill the business needs.



Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
10 Years of Experience in Data Analysis and Data Modelling and Data transformation
5+ Years of experience with Data Lake experience and Data Lake architecture.
Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations
