Salary $37.00 to $40.00 / hr. DOE
Position Summary
Tactical Air is currently seeking a QC Inspector to p erform skilled work in the inspection of aircraft parts, structures, and systems in accordance with applicable standards and specifications. Performs both visual and dimensional inspections. Reads and complies with instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.
Responsibilities
- Performs both primary inspections and buy-back inspections as assigned.
- Performs both visual and dimensional inspections properly and accurately.
- Writes up inspection items accurately, noting discrepancies' clearly.
- Performs buybacks inspection ensuring that previously noted and subsequently repaired items have been properly completed and documented.
- Researches and retrieves technical data as necessary.
- Maintains an updated, current knowledge of technical information and inspection techniques and requirements through adequate research and technical reading.
- Follows safety procedures and wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed.
- Reads instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.
- THIS POSITION WILL WORK A 4/10 SCHEDULE, MONDAY-THURSDAY!
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED with 3 to 5 years of Fighter Aircraft experience.
- Experience p erforming both simple and complex inspection procedures on aircraft parts, structures, and systems. in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Knowledgeable with preparing necessary records such as inspection documentation, logs, or other records thoroughly, legibly, and in a timely manner.
- Can interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical data.
- Valid state driver's license.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance .
Desired Experience/Skills
- F5 aircraft experience
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.
Work Authorization and Environment
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace . Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required.
- Pre-employment annual eye exam required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
- Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
- Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
