Bethany Medical (BM) is a multi-specialty physician practice located in Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, North Wilkesboro, and Mt Airy. We are looking for an extremely motivated individual to process and post patient payments. This position will be in our High Point, NC location.

Job Description

The Patient Collections Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate monitoring, processing and posting of patient payments. Position provides excellent customer service, research and detailed documentation of collection efforts and prompt resolution of account discrepancies.

Duties and Responsibilities  

• Answer incoming phone calls regarding patient statement/balances.
• Place outgoing phone calls to collect on patient balances.
• Process and apply payments to patient accounts.
• Process accounts for outside collections.
• Reconcile deposits from each office location daily.
• Balance credit cards based on online banking system.
• Review and resolve patient billing issues.
• Provide itemized bills for patients, attorneys, etc.
• Performs other duties as required.
