General Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute the daily operational tasks for our products
- Analyze and evaluate data using SQL in our various databases such as Oracle, SQL Server and Greenplum (Postgress) to make decisions and identify potential issues for our various products
- Administer, monitor and recover jobs in the batch environment for all clients in numerous products using documentation. When there is not documentation, you are expected to create it.
- Execute routine and emergency batch tasks including deploying / restoring batch environments, restarting batch jobs, correcting JIL (Job Instruction Language) for new deployments as needed
- Work with Java developers to resolve operational problems and implement the recommended solution.
- Work with the Implementation team to implement new data feeds for existing clients as well as implementing new client environments including CRM synchronization as required
- Create procedures and scripts to support our operational environment including monitoring and proactively managing SLAs with clients
- Assist in enhancing and supporting the SalesVision operational dashboard
- Assist clients with SFTP transmissions/mailboxes and obtain working knowledge of current Broadridge software used to manage SFTP (i.e. current tool is Sterling File Gateway).
- Assist with companywide initiatives such as the SFTP migration project and the ETL conversion project
- Performs overall operational duties specifically focusing on daily, weekly and monthly procedures including but not limited to:
- Assist with the support of the CRM and SDR systems daily batch streams
- Development and implementation of AutoSys jobs (utilizing JIL)
- Run/oversee scripted processes that require manual intervention/interpretation such as full re-assignments
- Run one-time SQL scripts upon request in our various database environments
- Ensure adherence to standards, best practices as it pertains to operations and processing
- Assist with the monitoring of performance and maintenance of our production environment including, but not limited to, management of server and san disk space
Skills & Requirements
- Experience with the following technologies (1-2 years preferred)
- Unix/Linux, SQL, Python, Shell Scripting, Job scheduler such as Autosys, SFTP or NDM, Databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Greenplum(Postgress), ETL tools such as Informatica or Microsoft SSIS
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and fellow employees
- Aptitude to operate in a fast-paced environment, dealing with several problems and/or assignments concurrently (multi-tasking)
- Ability to deal with change, demonstrating a willingness to learn and embrace new technology
- Capability to function effectively in a self-directed environment and interact well with other teams (software development, sales and relationship management, internal users)
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to demonstrate tact and sensitivity in customer communications projecting a positive image
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
- Detail oriented with attention to processed and procedures
- Documentation of procedures, issues, and solutions in our knowledge bases of Confluence and JIRA
Working Relationships
Reports to Director of Operations
Interaction with the Pittsburgh based, and India based operations, support, client services, data management and software development teams.
Salary range $65,000 - $70,000 Bonus Eligible.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
