Summary:
The Supply Coordinator position resides in the Clean Products Organization and collaborates across the value chain to coordinate, evaluate, and present market opportunities on a consistent and timely basis, including developing a monthly supply plan for the region. The Supply Coordinator communicates marginal economic analyses to facilitate decision making and alignment and aligns market opportunities with refining and product supply/distribution system requirements and capabilities.
This position is part of a job family with multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within the Clean Products Value Chain Team (Pricing, Trading, Supply, Region Marketing) and the Refining Planning and Economics, Logistics, and Marine teams to identify and evaluate the economics and feasibility of commercial opportunities.
- Oversee the commodity supply/demand balance for regional systems; identify new regional and inter-regional optimization opportunities.
- Develop and document regional product supply premises and optimization plans for the 30–120-day period.
- Communicate economics of optimization opportunities in 30–120-day period to the wider organization.
- Evaluate and coordinate opportunities within the Refining and product supply/distribution systems to capture synergies. Maintain and track the economic uplift of decisions.
- With support of the Marine team and Product Scheduling, coordinate vessel movements on the West Coast to optimize product optimization and supply.
- Provide support to strategy and business development activities in the region.
- Review and make recommendations to improve optimization tools (e.g., LPs) and other work processes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related field of study required.
- Minimum 6 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 2 years of commercial operations, supply & trading, or optimization experience in the energy or chemical process industry required.
- Experience in refinery process engineering/operations and economics/planning roles preferred.
