Protocol Officer (PEOC3T):
Bowhead is seeking a Protocol Officer for its PEO C3T contract in Aberdeen, MD. The individual will assist the Operations staff in coordinating and administering Events, including protocol activities, for the PEO C3T Command. The Protocol Officer plans, coordinates and manages high level visits such as Congressional/Professional Staff and International Delegations as well as SES/General Officer visits that are frequently at the three-star and four-star level.
- Provides direct protocol support to headquarters as well as all subordinate 06/05 level organizations within PEO C3T. This includes planning and the coordination for conferences, seminars, demonstrations, town halls, and ceremonies such as changes of charters, retirements, and field grade promotions.
- Is the Protocol Lead for large scale Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM) with Industry that normally have over 500 participants in locations throughout CONUS.
- For multi-location DV visits on Aberdeen Proving Ground, coordinates with the major commands such as CECOM, ATEC, DEVCOM, C5ISR, PEO IEW&S, 20th CBRNE and organizations outside of APG such as Army Futures Command, Army Divisions, and the Army Centers of Excellence etc.
- Tracks all events for PEO C3T six months out providing weekly status updates to the Senior Leadership.
- Manages RSVPs for all high level events.
- For high level VIP visits, coordinates directly with Aberdeen Proving Ground Garrison for Police Escort as well as coordination pick-up and drop-off at Phillips Army Airfield.
- Maintains and manages the inventory of ceremonial flags for PEO C3T as well as all protocol assets.
- Works closely with security officers in order to properly obtain clearances for event participation.
- Prepares budget estimates for the costs of social functions and other protocol requirements.
- High School diploma and 3-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications
- Experience establishing and maintaining schedules
- Experience developing and delivering PowerPoint presentations
- Experience maintaining internal records
- Experience using Microsoft Office products
- Eye for detail
- Good writing skills
- Good interpersonal skills
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must have an active security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
