Job description
The Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote health services within the community. Reporting to the Wood County Hospital Marketing Director, this position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the overall well-being of the community by fostering awareness of healthcare offerings by connecting the hospital and the community.
Job Duties: - Assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies targeting both local and broader communities.
- Execute marketing campaigns to raise awareness of health services, ensuring consistency in brand standards.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to execute integrated marketing plans.
- Uphold brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing materials.
- Proactively manage signage updates and directional signage, ensuring strict adherence to brand standards for consistency and visual integrity.
- Create and curate compelling content for social media profiles (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook).
- Assist with management of online reputation by responding to reviews and sharing relevant information with the respective management teams.
- Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments and messages and address inquiries from both the community and broader audience.
- P roduce content for newsletters, ensuring they serve as valuable resources for both local communities and broader audiences.
- Craft compelling and newsworthy press releases that effectively communicate key messages and milestones.
- C ollaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information to generate and ensure accuracy in content creation.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure the website is correct and up to date, reviewing and making edits to the site as needed.
- Assist with execution and logistics of special events. (ex. Hospital Week & Ladies’ Night)
Shift Details:
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Shift: Day Shift
Minimum Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, visual communications technology or a related field.
- One to two years of experience creating social media content, proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and content creation tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
