As an Engineer, you serve as a technical specialist delivering the engineering that powers the product. You develop keen insight into the technical architecture and design to deliver robust and scalable software components. You constantly demonstrate the depth of your expertise by solving engineering problems. You are passionate about the quality of software and balance between speed of delivering new features and robustness of the software components you implement. You are keen to learn the design and architecture of the product and participate in ceremonies that can influence both.
The Cost Showback team plays a strategic role within Target Technology by providing cost transparency to teams accountable to those costs no matter where they are running (public or private cloud). We strive to make this easy for teams to understand cost drivers so that optimization opportunities can be identified and prioritized. We do this through building and maturing our FinOps capabilities using both cloud native and custom tooling.
As an Engineer within Cost Showback, you will have the opportunity to start your FinOps career. Your career will likely start in a data analytic capacity ensuring high quality cost data for our customers and helping identify strategic optimization. As you learn more about the data your role will likely automate the identification of those patterns within the data and present them to users in a meaningful way via our tooling. This will involve supporting the existing FinOps platform and tooling we have built…but you won't be alone! You will have the opportunity to tap into knowledge from the existing FinOps team learning/applying your knowledge of data & engineering skills.
