Fall 2024 Dance Studio Manager
Bella Ballet, an award-winning dance school located in Gaithersburg, is actively seeking an enthusiastic, confident, and motivated Studio Manager to join our vibrant dance studio for the upcoming 2024-2025 season! As the Studio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the studio and ensuring an exceptional experience for our students and their families. We are looking for someone with exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask, problem solve and exhibit professionalism and initiative. A strong dance background is also required. The Studio Manager will share responsibilities with the dance teacher role during the season.
As a dance instructor, your primary responsibility will be to teach and guide students of various ages in a variety of dance styles, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and encouraged to achieve their goals. You will provide high-quality dance education to students ranging from ages 2 to 18 years old. This role also includes ensuring classes run smoothly, adjusting curriculum as needed, and providing one-on-one instruction to students. We are looking for candidates with a background in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop, along with a positive attitude that fosters a supportive environment for our dancers. A background in Contemporary and Acro is a plus.
Teaching, administrative, and management experience in dance and dance studio settings is a prerequisite for this role. Successful candidates will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and Non-Compete Agreement upon hiring. Responsibilities:
- Inventory and order studio supplies needed.
- Ensure the studio environment is clean, organized, and functional.
- Complete various administrative tasks daily.
- Ability to teach effectively using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
- Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers, students, and families.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Engage and motivate students to reach their goals.
- Evaluate student progress and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Choreograph routines and select music for recitals
- Conduct group and private lessons as required.
- Provide a fun and creative environment.
- Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience is required.
- Prior management experience required.
- A strong dance background is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable.
- Organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive.
- Patience, leadership skills, and problem solving abilities.
