Job description

Procurement Manager:

JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for leading the procurement function to achieve service, inventory and cost objectives. Leadership includes managing and developing direct reports, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, supplier risk management, and purchase order management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage supplier partnerships for cost/delivery/quality performance.
• Develop collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Develop strategic procurement plans based on forecasts from internal stakeholders.
• Act as procurement liaison for new products and services.
• Monitor and mitigate commodity, supplier, and market risk.
• Support the development and manage performance of Procurement department staff.
• Establish Procurement objectives that are consistent our annual and multi- year operating plans.
• Build a Procurement team environment supporting engagement.
• Develop dashboard metrics for Procurement and manage performance to the metrics.
• Measure and track performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact.
• Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure      plant/product line optimal supply chain execution.
• Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions.
• Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
• Be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
• 10 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment – preferred.
• Supervisory/ managerial experience – preferred.
• Aerospace, machined parts procurement.
• ISO-9001, AS9100 compliance.
• Contract development and management.
• Materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
• Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling,
purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, shipping/receiving
purchasing techniques and practices.
• Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts supporting materials management and continuous improvement.
• Ability to write and read English.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree – preferred.

Pay Details: $120,000.00 per year
