Job description
The Bioeconomy Institute (BEI) is currently seeking applicants for a Research Scientist I that will conduct physical and chemical characterization of inputs and products in support of research on conversion of biomass to fuels and products. The Research Scientist I will conduct benchtop experiments in collaboration with other BEI staff engineers and scientists. They will operate and maintain specialized instrumentation and will review methodology and data generated in the lab. The Research Scientist I will also train students on laboratory practices and instrumentation usage, oversee laboratory practices, conduct safety reviews, manage inventory, and coordinate preventative maintenance and service with instrument vendors. Â
This is a two year fixed term position with the opportunity for renewal.
