Job Title: Fixed-Wireless Technician
Location: Juneau, Alaska
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fixed-Wireless Technician to install, maintain, and repair fixed-wireless broadband internet infrastructure. As a key member of our field operations team, your focus will be on tower climbing, antenna and equipment installation and alignment, and providing excellent technical support and customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in bringing high-speed internet to rural and remote communities across Alaska.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Scale radio towers to install, align, and maintain fixed-wireless broadband equipment
- Perform tower rigging, equipment mounting, cabling, and antenna alignment
- Conduct radio propagation studies and path analyses
- Install and configure radios, antennas, routers, switches, batteries, solar equipment, etc.
- Troubleshoot network issues and outage restoration
- Provide technical support and customer service to residents and businesses
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures for tower climbing and rural field work
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience performing tower work or wireless ISP installation
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to reliably commute to rural tower sites
- Willingness and ability to climb towers up to 250 ft tall
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting abilities
- High school diploma or GED required
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a rural or wilderness tower technician
- Familiar with Ubiquiti, Cambium, Telrad, Mimosa and other WISP hardware
- CCNA or other industry certification

Please note this job requires climbing tall radio towers in remote areas of Alaska in all weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights.
