About the role
We are actively seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in our organization's journey toward becoming a data-driven powerhouse. As a key member of our dynamic global team, you will be instrumental in defining requirements, analyzing processes, and implementing cutting-edge solutions that elevate our P&C reinsurance underwriting capabilities. This role is at the forefront of our digital transformation efforts, where you will collaborate daily with stakeholders, including underwriters, data & technology professionals, and other business units.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Playing a central role in our digital transformation by identifying opportunities to leverage technology and data to enhance P&C reinsurance processes end-to-end.
- Creating comprehensive documentation for business requirements, system specifications, and process workflows.
- Streamlining underwriting processes and enhance decision-making through the analysis of workflows and data.
- Conducting thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement digital solutions aligned with business unit goals and improving overall efficiency.
- Working closely with underwriting teams to gather and document business requirements, with a focus on data-driven enhancements.
- Ensuring seamless integration of systems by collaborating with IT teams and supporting the organization's digital ecosystem.
- Effectively communicating with underwriters, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of requirements, project progress, and initiative benefits.
- Facilitating workshops and meetings to gather feedback and promote collaboration.
- Training business users and supporting incident and defect resolution.
This role can be either at the AVP or VP Level.

Additional Advantages
- Understanding of P&C reinsurance underwriting processes and digital transformation principles.
- Exposure to agile development approaches (e.g., Scrum) and familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Confluence.
- Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses in the business process and suggests areas of improvement.

For Armonk, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position (AVP or VP) is $88,000 to $186,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
