Laboratory Technician – Sample Management

Kalamazoo, MI 49007

$18-$20/hour – depending on experience.

8-hour shift, Monday thru Friday

Responsibilities:

• Scan job envelope containing samples in the location management tool to capture sample information.

• Process archive request- Requests submitted from the customer or Order Entry Team (OET) where samples are pulled and processed for another test request.

• Assist with CAPA investigations, extracts, and archive requests using Lean Kit tracking software.

• Pull retest jobs by using a list provided by data found in PowerBI to pull jobs that contain samples that require a retest. Client uses PowerBI for all laboratory information such as aging lists, metrics, etc.

• Track locations of jobs, samples, and plates by using location management software.

• Process samples received via USPS including scanning, logging, and providing the necessary paperwork to the OET.

• Inventory management of 96-well plates allowing technicians to use the location management software to find plates for archive pulls or samples that need a retest.

• Bi-yearly inventory of all freezers for inventory management.

• Ship samples or other materials to customers.

• Generate a list on a weekly basis of samples that need to be sent back to customers.

• Complete all training and learning requirements of the client in their Learning Management System (LMS) Software.

Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalent.

• Experience managing inventory of supplies and/or records preferred.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft SharePoint.

• Must be meticulous and accurate.

• Effective communication and time management skills, collaborative, and strong work ethic.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
