The purpose of the Senior Mechanic is to install, repair, & troubleshoot PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, actuators, robotics, servos, motion controls, vision systems, and all programmable controls throughout our manufacturing facility and production lines.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical/electronic components, motor controls, and programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) in high paced production environment using Allen Bradley & Siemens controls.
- Ability to read and understand ladder logic to control PLC and PLC programs.
- Ability to troubleshoot, build, assemble, & repair robotics using microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, sensors, etc.
- Provide in depth knowledge, troubleshooting, & repair of AC & DC motor controls, single & 3 phase electrical circuits, and electronic drives.
- Ability to overhaul and/or install new equipment throughout facility.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, & repair high pressure boilers and boiler components.
- Ability to read & write operational instructions and/or SOP’s.
- Provide support & training throughout the maintenance team when/where needed.
- Performs maintenance tasks while maintaining clean & safe work areas.
- Support operations team initiatives in lean manufacturing, efficiency, and downtime reduction.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Willing to work OT, on-call, weekends, and/or holidays as requested by management.
- All other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Prior experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment, high pressure boiler systems, PLC & PLC programming, automation and controls
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
